Aurangabad

Aurangabad is a modern city In Maharashtra(India). When we visit the city we can get the idea that this place is rich in core with Buddhist,Hindu and Jain monuments dating back to 2nd century BC. Some royal dynasties from the Satavahans to the Mughals contributed a lot to make this ancient city into a center for culture and learning. Now a days this city is an important industrial center.

Tourist Tips :

    * Best time to visit : October -  March.  In summers (April - July) temperatures touch 45.  Winter (November - March) temperatures are low as 6 ((  I visited this place between 20th - 23rd December 2010, lowest  temperature was 9))
    * Auto-rickshaws , cars and local taxis are available on hire. ( I traveled by my own car which is also very convenient option)
    * I booked MTDC holiday resort before one month of my visit which is a great option. 

Reaching Aurangabad

Aurangabad lies 388 kms north-east of Mumbai.  The best road for traveling from Mumbai is

  Express High way-Chakan- Shikrapur- Supa-Ahemadnagar-Ghodegaon-Pravara Sangam-Aurangabad.
